It isn’t often that Bundles of Cookies partakes in a cookie decorating contest. Since we are a brick and mortar retail store serving our local community and beyond…we are employed with more than one decorator.
However, this time I thought it would be fun to give my head decorator, Cat the opportunity to submit a design. Now whether she really wanted to, I don’t know. I guess she may have felt a little obligated since it was her “boss” asking.
The process leading to our cookie choice:
1. I printed the image and hung it on our wipe board for inspiration.
2. Staff members (retail, bakers and decorators alike) were encouraged to write down ideas that they saw in the image. Our list consisted of about 15 options.
3. From the 15 options we narrowed it down to those designs that would encompass the ENTIRE cookie and was the most unique.
4. Using the paper copy as a template, we put the design on paper first. Happy with how it turned out, we then cut out the cookie, using the template provided by LilaLoa and Cat decorated it.
